Blogs galore

The first thing I‘ll say concerning the blogs this semester, is that I have enjoyed reading all of them. It’s become sort of a routine for me. I’ll have my morning coffee, check emails and facebook, and then head on over to the blog-o-sphere of Lit 436 and immerse myself in the latest rantings, reflections, dreams, and meanderings of my classmates. I figure it’s just as relevant and informative as reading the daily news would be, and certainly more entertaining.

I also feel very strongly that my own blogs would be incomplete—or lacking some insight—if I didn’t have the opportunity to read and reflect on everyone else’s thoughts on the materials, as well as the class itself. I read blogs that I agree with, blogs I disagree with, and inevitably blogs that I can’t understand. But they all prove enlightening, and oftentimes direct my thinking down paths I could never have anticipated.

So when faced with the task of picking a favorite, or eye-opening blog, I ran into some difficulty. However, I will highlight a few I’ve really enjoyed. Reading Bizz’s blog this semester is refreshing, because she really grounds the concepts of this class, and relates them back to things we can actually understand i.e videogames, popular movies, bathroom stalls, concern for the well-being of a children (poor Moran Jr.). They’re definitely thoughtful and fun to read.

I also enjoy Christina’s blog for the great connections and information she shares. Not to mention the wonderful graphics (and the effort that goes into the hand-drawn ones). Most importantly, I appreciate the interaction she has with the blogs of the whole class. I read all the blogs but barely comment, and it is a great way to give and receive feedback. So good job for everyone who manages to do that. It’s always nice to know that someone else can relate to your crazy thoughts.
